Welcome to Valley Sugarcats, a support site for anyone treating a diabetic cat in the Phoenix metro area. This site is not meant to replace the care of a qualified veterinarian but rather to help each other with the day to day aspects of dealing with this disease.

Your host for this site is Boo, an insulin dependent diabetic since December 20, 2000. My name is Deanie, the mom who buys him cat food and shrimp! It's been a long tough road with quite a few bumps but Boo and I still managed nearly 5 years past his diabetes diagnosis before losing him to lymphoma. 

It's not an easy disease but with education, the right care and the support of a good vet, it's possible for your kitty to enjoy many more happy healthy years. Browse through Boo's anniversary album to see just how much fun one kitty can pack into a day!
