As to type 2 diabetes: "On November 9, 2000 Hershel Gober Secretary of the VA approved diabetes type 2 link to Agent Orange. It was presumptive for all those in Vietnam and adjacent waters. In 2003 the change was made to in-country Vietnam 1961 to early 72. Thus the Haas decision resulted. AO was recognized also as being used on the DMZ in Korea 1968-69. Now it is known to be used elsewhere as well. But only Vietnam 61-72 and the Korean DMZ 1968-69 are presumptives all others must be proven." Dave Barker
