In more ways than one, crochet has been a comfort to me. Having lost my mother several years ago, it's a connection we shared, as she taught me both to knit and crochet when I was younger. I've done it off and on all my life.
Also, in light of recent events (9/11), I strongly felt the need to help, but didn't quite know what to do. I let my fingers be my guide, and found that by doing something I enjoyed, I could bring comfort to others as well. Getting emails from people who have received my gifts just gives me the warm fuzzies!
I'm glad to have found so many people of all ages and backgrounds, both locally [New York] and online from around the world that share my love of crochet, which proves that the handcrafts are alive and well!
I'll leave you with this train of thought...
You might not be able to do as much [or the same thing] as someone else, but you can do something!
God bless...and thanks a bunch of grapes (TaBoG)!
