Proper protocol for needed action.
Step 1 You should first take your concerns, good or bad, to your Clan Mother for women or to your Clan chief for men.
The duties of a Clan Mother or a Clan Chief are to maintain peace and harmony in the tribe and to settle disputes within their clan.
Step 2 If your concerns have not been settled or dealt with by the Clan Mother or Clan Chief then you should bring them to the War Chief.
The duties of the War Chief are to provide security and safety for the tribe. They must also provide security for the Chiefs, elders and visiting Chiefs.
The War Chief should be the first person to arrive at a new campsite to ensure safety.
Step 3 If you still have concerns and they have not been met then you should bring them to the Peace Chief.
The duties of the Peace Chief are to oversee all ceremonies and smudgings.
The Peace Chief is to bless or sanctify the areas that will be used by the tribe. All campsites, Sacred circles, dance circles and sacred fires are to be smudged as well as any person who will be entering theses circles.
Step 4 If you are not yet satisfied then you bring your concerns to the Herbalist. Their duties are to collect, catalog and know the uses of plants and their properties and how they are used.
Step 5 If there still has not been any solution to any concerns then they are brought before the Second Chief.
Their duties are the same as the First Chief except that the Second Chief cannot promote or give awards.
Step 6 Go to the First Chief. Concerns should never reach this point but if they do it is the duty of the First Chief to settle them .
The First Chief oversees all meetings and functions. They can promote from within the village and give out awards.
