1881 census for whole uk - lot of detail and information given on here.includeing also some church records,by going into british isles instead of census,can even just put parents names in for possible children.I allways go into advanced search it is easier.

1901 census online - although it is free to search,you have to pay to view but you can get around this to a certain extent,find the person you are looking for,note how it is written(all hand done then)then just put in surname and area copied exactly and it brings up possible family members,perfect if you have an uncommon name,then anyone over 20 can be found in 1881 census.as per usual i go straight to advanced search it is easier and also with most sites,the least information put in the more you get out.
