There are countless number of spells that fae could be useful. Make sure that when you petion
them that you honor and respect them. Stay within a sacred circle. Be sure to know all
you can about any faery you try to work with. Understand that most faery are wary of
humans and they may choose not to help if they don't feel you are sincere. Should they
choose not to help honor their decision. The faery can be powerful allies and delightful friends.

Below, is a traditional method of calling to the Faery realm. There are several versions of this
ritual, yet this is probably the first to be recorded. It comes from the Bodleian Library (MS.
Ashmole 1406). It was also contained in a 17th-century magickal manuscript. The language is
a bit hard to understand, but not impossible. The herbs and flowers are readily obtainable, yet
unless you already have Faery consorts, the last instructions may be difficult...

To Summon a Faery
An excellent way to gett a fayrie, but for myself I call Margarett Barrance but
this will obtaine any one that is notallready bound.
First gett a broad square christall or Venus glasse in length and breadth 3 inches,
then lay that glasse or christall in a red clothe 3 wednesdayes or 3 fridayes: then take
it out and wash it with holy aqua and fumigate it: then take 3 hazle sticks or wands of
an yeare groth, pill them fayre and white, and make soe longe as you can write the spiritts name, or fayries
name, which you call 3 times, on every sticke being made flatt one side, then bury them under some stone hill
whereas you suppose fayries haunt, the wednesdaye before you call she, and the fridaye followinge take
them uppe and calle she at 8 or 3 or 10 of the clock which be googe plannetts and howres for that turne: but
when you calle, be in cleane life and turne thy face towards the East, and when you have she bind her to that stone or glasse.
An unguent to annoynt under the eylidds and upon the eylidds evninge and morninge, but especially
when you call, or finde your sighte not perfect.
Put sallet oyle into a Viall glasse but first wash it withe rose water, and marygold flower water,
the flowers be gathered toward the east, wash it til the oyle come white, then putt it into the glasse,
ut supra, and put there to the buds of hollyhocke, the flowers of marygold; the flowers or topps of
wild time the buds of younge hazel, and the time must begathered neare the side of a hille where fayries
used to go oft, and the grasse of a fayrie throne, there, all these putte into the oyle, in the glasse, and sett it to
dissolve 3 dayes in the sonne, and thou keep it for thy use; ut supra.

A Ritual To Gain Favor of the fae

Go into a field of flowers or grove of oakes and there a circle cast of moonstones,
rose petals, or acorns - this should be done at sunset. Bless each quarter with a copper dagger, calling out:
"I call to thee Queen Saraelye
Elemental Faeryes bring to me
Faeryes of the Quarters, protect me
for I humbly honour thee..."
You should then ring a silver bell and drink of fine honey mead, leaving a few drops in the
chalice to offer the Faery Queen Saraelye (Sar-a-lye). Place the crystal ring on a piece of white
linen in the center of the circle (at your feet). The ring should have thy chosen Faery's
name engraved upon the band in Faery Runes. Again ring the silver bell and say:
"I call upon thee --- to grant me thy virtue
By thy Faery name, whose virtue be the same.
I call ye so true, for I need you.
Serve me well as I do you..."
Ring the bell again and anoint the ring with mead (If you have "anointing oil" use that too).
Poor the remaining mead onto the earth, giving thanks to Saraelye. Now invoke thy Faery
by name into the ring by passing over it a wand of oak or hazel wood. Fill the chalice again and
drink to thy Faery and the newly formed bond. Do this at the four nights of the full moon in the
same month at sunset, and you will but have to gaze into the crystal ring to bid thy Faery to appear...saying:
"In innocent purity, I shall see thee
Bound to thee, though comest to me.
My virtues to thee, I hast shewn.
Thus, I may see thee in this stone."
Let no one else wear the ring, it could break the bond. When not wearing it yourself
(though you always should) keep it wrapped in the white linen and rose petals

Protection from Faeries:
There are many storys of faery wrecking havoc on a home or enchanting
humans, stealing babies etc. Faerie folk live by their own set of rules
and often have a double standard when it comes to humans. While many
faerie are messy, prone to theft, drunkeness or many other bad habits
they detest them in humans.
Some house fairy will cause mischeif should they come into your ome and
you are ot living according to their standards. What's a person to do?
If a fairy you invited in suddenly turns on you or one decided to take
up residence invited or not here are a few things you can try to out
them.
Bells- Many of the wee folk don't like bells. Hang them on your doors so
they jingle when opened. Walk through your home shaking them.
If you dont have bells take a pot and spoon and walk thru your home
banging loudly. Most fae will gladly leave such a loud and annoying
enviornment.
Cats- these furry friends are excellent deterrents. With their keen
eyesite and sense of smell most fairy can't hide from them. Most fairy
won't stay in a home with a cat.
Once you've outted the pesky fae place the metal iron around doorways
and windows. Nails are good for this. Hang an iron horse shoe above the
door.
