Our aim in writing this website was that we wanted to raise awareness of a devestating, life limiting illness M.E. Although M.E isn't life threatning, it is one which devestates both sufferer and family if the necessary support is not put in place.

War Against M.E began way back in 2002, when I (Louise Jane) fell ill with M.E. Having some knowledge from a  previous involvement years beforehand when my sister became ill with M.E, I knew that this was my chance to change the perspective on this illness.

To begin with, War Against M.E was the name of a poem in which I - Louise Jane wrote about how I felt at the time. Soon after the idea of a website was put in place, and this MSN group started from scratch. Slowly but surely War Against M.E fell into place, for almost a year War against M.E was updated daily, and provided welcome support from people outside of our close knit family and friends.

War Against M.E also provided an oppotunity for me to help my friends understand M.E. Although they had heard some stories as to the nature of M.E, from me over my sister, they had little idea as to what it actually entailed. Friends who had 'feared' M.E, began to realise what it was, and relationships within my own community became somewhat normal.

We began War Against M.E began as an awareness raising MSN group, and I hope one day I; as 'manager' can look back and say 'I achieved my original goal to raise awareness and change some of the publics bad perspective on M.E'.

Until War Against M.E is incapable of providing any of these 'services', War Against M.E will continue, Continue in the hope of knowing that we are helping you. Not just sufferers but everybody.
