Figured I'd post my favorite free site host here. 100webspaces.com gives 100mgs of space, ftp, php support and a mysql database, emails, etc. The php and database alone is great for a free account. You can also use your own domain name if you already have one. For $12 US/yr you can have a bannerless site. You should know that unlike some free hosts, they do delete sites that are unused or unvisited for lengthy time periods, as they assume these sites have been abandoned by the user, as often they are..

BEWARE - they're cheap, but you're going to pay for it in more ways than monetarily. They do have a lot to offer - and for a casual /personal web site, it may be worth the effort - but for business sites or critical communication, know that their system downtime is unbelievably bad for a professional hosting company. In the past two months, my web site has gone down more than 8 times - essentially preventing any email communication during those times. When technical support was contacted, they were rude and unhelpful. As I said - if you've got something that's just "for fun" - and stability is not an important issue, this is a cheap place to host. For anyone else, I'd highly advise looking elsewhere.

Free is not always Glee!!! Sad Story: I spent many hours, over several days, seeking & testing Free Hosts w/FrtPg Exts. Finally, I chose: 0002K. Had very professional features. Developed a Real Estate (My House For Sale!) FrtPg WebSite & printed up several 2' X4' 'Cards' featuring the URL of the House. I spent another few days driving around to all the Stores in South St Louis City & County w/BB's & posted the notices. Aprox= 1200. 2 days later, 0002K crashed! Even paid Host may have Server problems. In addition to the physical BB's I Posted notices, I also spent hours Posting to On-Line BB's. Then, my paid began switching Servers & Operating systems. Frpm a UNIX, which worked fine w/FrtPg Exts. to a Windows, which, if you can believe it, does not support the FrtPg Forms.?! So, from there to something that supports Visual Studio, but I'm still having problems with FrtPg. on it. So they were down for several weeks. I did Post the same Site on 3 different Freebie Sites, as BackUps, 1 of which is still up, (but not completely functioning) to which I was able to direct my LINK from my On-Line Ad. Moral of this story is that I don't rely on FREE Sites exclusively. Finding a Host for your Site, I now understand, is the 2nd most important aspectof Designing & Posting WebSites. It's the 2nd phase after learning the Design program (a Dante's Inferno type of endevor); it never ends- You are then challenged to navigate a: Control Pannel. This Host, although not free, has excellent Tutorials for learning the Control Pannel, & is chock full of just about all of the most popular, & relivant Scripts- additional Web applications that 1 could want. After hours of searching, I highly recommend them. For the co$t of a nite-on-the-town, You may have fine Hosting for a Year!!! Merry Xmas, & Happy New Year 2006!!!

This is the best website host I have ever found. It has unlimited bandwidth, unlimited downloads andis so easy to use. It has simple, easy to use html editors and a simple file uploader. It also has domain hosting if you have a domain. The only catch isn't even that bad, it claims to have popup ads but they are extremely infrequent so you hardly ever get them! How much are they asking for website hosting? Absolutely nothing! Its FREE!

Looking for a 'Free Host' w/FrtPg Exts to park this WebSite while 'buyer' takes 30 days to close/forfeit. This is my Paid Host. I signed-up at the: 100WebSpace.com as it looked very professional w/CP & FrtPg Exts. Published according to Video instructions w/FrontPage 2003: As U can see it's missing the LINKS to the: 'Rooms' (Major problem!). I got an 'error message' while Publishing: 'Server Timed Out' I also Posted same Site, via Zipped Up-Load to ASP Host: It does not have the FrtPg Exts. But didn't advertise them either. Most of the main components are working, except for the Forms, counter, ect., as expected. Hope this compareson is helpful.
