St.David's day petition growls into life

Welsh Republican Comment's (WRC) St David's Day Online Petition has been a roaring success with over 3049 people signing the petition which was launched just 18 months ago. Visitors to the site include Brian Bothomley, a teenage friend of Cayo, now a resident of the USA. Brian says "I will return to the Land of my Fathers if there is a Dydd Dewi Sant Holiday".
Many other visitors made comments about how unfair it was that the National Assembly does not have law making powers to introduce a St David's Day Holiday and that Scotland and Ireland celebrate their patron saints with a bank Holdiay. A significant number of people recorded their sentiments by echoing the trademark mark chant of WRC- Fe godwn ni eto! We shall rise again!- which was originally the motto of the Free Wales Army.
Peter Davies wrote "We spend more time in this country promoting Saint Patrick's day than our own Patron Saint's day." whilst Scott Dewis said "let's respect ourselves". Alwayn Williams said "We should be able to celebrate St David's Day withour having to go cap in hand to the English parliament."
Finally, Handspringguy writes:
"St George was not even English, he was Greek....and not even a real person. And ask any Englishman when St. George's day occurs. They will look at you blankly as they have no idea. St. Patrick was in fact Cymraeg (real name Maewyn). A fact well hidden from all the Guiness-drinkers of the world."
To not have a public holiday for the man who inspired Patrick and the man who was preaching Christian beliefs before England even existed is just plain criminal."
Why not add your signature now to the growing list, with a comment or two, at http://www.petitiononline.com/srs8ctd/petition.html. Go on! You know it makes sense!
