Welsh Republican Army Breaches Cardiff Castle Night Security
by John Jones, Staff Reporter Wednesday 9th March 2005
Cardiff Castle, scene of WRA propaganda attack
The 2005 National St David’s Day Parade through the heart of Cardiff was well attended and strongly supported by various republican organizations including MAC, Cymru Rydd, the Red Choir. The event was sponsored by Cambrian Magazine. Over 250 people played an active part in the march and the speeches at the National Museum were rousing. The National Anthem was sung with pride.
Last year, Byddin Weriniaethol Gymreig (WRA) received complaints that people had to march beneath the Union Jack. Despite diplomatic efforts by republicans to have the Union Jack removed for the day, it was obvious to negotiators that the Crown's representatives wanted the flags' presence to remind the people of Cymru of our subject status- the poorest part of the UK plastic state.
The Welsh Republican Army made her presence known by a clandestine operation at midnight on St David’s Eve. The moonlight walls of Cardiff Castle were breached by heroic Volunteers of the 1st South Wales Brigade. All of the evil Union Jacks removed, to be replaced by a St David’s Day flag and an Anti-Monarchy flag, so that marches need not walk under the shadow of the symbol that has wrought terror to the world, and continues to do so in Iraq.
A source close to the Army Council said "These Union Jacks will now be ceremonially burnt at Cilmeri. Every foreign symbol of British colonisation is a target whilst Cymru remains an Occupied Territory"
Welsh Republican Army visits Cilmeri
Volunteers of the 1st South Wales Brigade visited Cilmeri last night (June 2005) to launch a brave propaganda attack on the English who use the town. Cilmeri, known and well loved in Republican circles for the annual march to Llewelyn's Monument, has signs to the town displayed in the English spelling of the name. These were spray painted over.
The volunteers also visited the town railway station and sprayed Free Wales logos in the surrounding area.
A spokesperson for the Brigade said "These actions help to raise the profile of English only signs. We wanted the English settlers to know without equivocation that they are simply not welcome in this part of Cymru".
