FIBROMYALGIA AND CFS - | Disability and Housing Challenges Facing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & Fibromyalgia Patients Coping Corner columnist Eunice Beck, RN, writes, "There was an article in my local newspaper about some residents being forced to move from a senior complex in town. They didn’t meet the criteria of the complex because they were disabled, not seniors. The reason the story especially piqued my interest was because one of the individuals being evicted was a 27 year old with fibromyalgia." http://www.immunesupport.com/library/bulletinarticle.cfm?ID=4557&PROD=N0276 - | |

National Autism Association - Autism is a neurological disorder that affects approximately 1 in 166 children in the US alone. Any parent should learn about autism, including how to identify possible symptoms and how and where to get your child evaluated if you think he/she may be showing signs of autism. In addition to information and resources, this website has numerous products for purchase to show your support for autism research and the drive for a cure. Proceeds go to fund research endeavors. This is a great place to buy car magnents with the Autism puzzle piece motif that read "Think Autism, Think Cure". (I bought one for everyone in our family). Though funding for autism research is on the rise, pediatric cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS receive more funding than autism research; however more children will be diagnosed with autism this year than will all 3 of these other diseases combined. A child is diagnosed with autism every 20 minutes. If you don't know about Autism, please educate yourself. Your knowledge could someday mean early intervention for someone you know and love. --Shadow Proud mom to Nicholas, 4, Diagnosed severely Autistic at age 3--and has been making great progress ever since!
