How do I post a message? On the page that lists all of the posts on a board, you will see an icon in the top right that says "New Discussion." By clicking this icon you can post a new message on the board. Note: don't use this to reply to a thread already there.

If you send a message that does not post immediately, it is probably because you the board is temporarily in moderated status. Once you have been an active member for a while, your messages will be auto-accepted, but at the beginning all new posters are moderated to make sure posts are within our rules and MSN's Code of Conduct.

How do I reply to a message? To reply to a message, click the "reply" button at the top left of the page the post is on. This will take you to a form that you can use to reply to that post.

What is this Send Replies to My Inbox? If you would like to be notified by email of new posts to a thread, click the "Send Replies to My Inbox" button at the top right of the page and you will receive an email any time a new post is made to that thread. Notice it puts a red dot there. To stop receiving replies just chick it again.

What can I do when I send my message and I get that white screen?  Right Click in the window and choose Refresh,  then click on Resend.  This usually does it. Or press SHIFT and F5 at the same time.

How do I post a photo? Two methods are acceptable in this community:

The first option is to use www.PhotoBucket.com where you can upload graphics and copy and paste without an issue of bandwidth theft.

The second is using the MSN procedure:

1. Right click on the photo you want to post. DO NOT select COPY. Select SAVE PICTURE AS. At this point I rename it something that I find easy to remember. Save it to your computer - most people I have seen save them to  'My Pictures' or 'My Documents'. Don't worry that you will end up with a huge number of photos on your computer. You can delete them later.

2. Once the photo is saved to your computer, open a posting window on the What's News page of your choice. On the second row of the tool bar on the posting window is a square that looks like a mountain peak and sun (some people think it looks kind of like a post card). It is the INSERT PICTURE icon. Click on that icon. It will open a second window over your posting window. Select the MY COMPUTER tab and BROWSE for the picture you want to post. Click on that photo and select ADD PHOTOS on the MSN My Photos window. Click on ADD PHOTOS.

And that is all there is to it.

You can copy and paste photos from other MSN sites if the place you are copying it from has not hotlinked to the photo. You can test this by right clicking on the photo, selecting PROPERTIES. If the address has MSN.COM or MSN Users, you can copy and paste. If not, you have to save it to your computer first as noted above.

Any photos posted from this time forward not following these instructions will have to be deleted immediately.
