Our main goals are to ensure that Whippet World is a friendly and helpful place.  This is best done by ensuring members abide by the Code of Conduct, which was created for the above purpose.  We appreciate good discussions of different points of view, but discussions must remain friendly and helpful and not become personal. There are many other whippet message boards out there for those who want a less strict debate atmosphere. We welcome you to join them as each board has something unique to offer. Many members of the management team are, in fact, members on other boards as well.

 

If a manager who is online sees a clear violation of the CoC then it is deleted and an email sent to the poster if their email address is visible in their profile, telling them what happened and usually inviting them to repost without the part that is in violation, such as prices and copyrights. Clear violations are not always discussed with other team members unless they happen to be on-line at the same time.

 

If there is something not so clearcut then we try to discuss as quickly as we can with as many of the managers who are available at the time before taking action. However sometimes action needs to be taken anyway. No actions are taken without fully aprising the whole management team even if they are not online at the time.

 

Please keep in mind that the WW Managers are not always on-line. We have gone hours at a time without any of us on, as we all have other parts of our lives to attend to (as do our members). Usually there aren't any problems, as the Whippet World members are so great. Unfortunately, sometimes a post/thread can get out of hand before we are aware of it, or before we have enough managers on-line to discuss the issue. We take action as soon as possible.

 

Members can always email the managers if there is something they would like to bring to our attention. We will respond as soon as possible. Please contact us using our links at the bottom of various pages (including this one).  Using the MSN contact link means we very likely will not receive your email.
