Every so often the MSN boards go down for maintenance or have a problem. Unfortunately MSN doesn't make us aware of this in advance so we can't give any warning to our members.
In order to notify members when there is a group problem we have opened up a YahooGroup specifically and only for updates on WW and MSN status. It will not be another list or group - it will only be used when there is a problem with the board, or for board announcements, so you will not be receiving a ton of extra email in your inboxes.
Membership will be by application or invitation only and only to current members of Whippet World - so applications will need to include your Whippet World ID. Once you have applied and been accepted please set your settings to either 'individual emails' or 'special notices' so that you can receive the messages, if you set it to nomail you will not receive the notices from the managers. Only managers can send emails, so the board status messages are the only messages you will receive from this group.
In addition - to help all WW members, if you bookmark the main group page, the current status of WW will always (hopefully) be on that page so you will know if there are any current problems that we know about. (It's a good idea to bookmark the page anyway, as if we're having a problem where you can't get into the side menu you won't be able to find the address.) Also the message archive will be open for anyone to view so people can see the most recent message sent about the status.
