By Master James Sinclair. Well, truely the business ... I train under his student Sifu Mark Phillips, and he's a fluent martial artist as the CD Rom does him no favor in showing only the tip of the iceberg ... I put my money where my mouth is, I totally changed from Ju-jitsu into this wonderful fighting (not defensive) system after seeing the amazing footages ... certain to please and inspire Recommended by hishambereir, 8/26/2004.

By Alan Gibson. A very good book. Alan taught my instructor and his instructor is Ip Chun. He founded the Wing Chun Federation. this book is very good which teaches you all about Wing Chun. It has had remarks form people like the editor of MAI magazine. Alan however has now moved to the Wong Sheung Leung way of teaching. This book deals with when he taught Ip Chun style. A great book for all those studying Ip Chun style or those just wanting to broaden their knowledge. Recommended by WING CHUN DUDE! , 8/9/2002.

By Master O`Neal. A great book, lots of reading on the history of Wing Chun as well as photos showing the first form from beginning to end. Master O'Neal has trained extensively with both Grandmaster Ip Chun and Grandmaster Ip Ching with plenty of interesting photos with both Grandmasters shown in this book. - A great common mistakes section too. 5 stars! By Austin Goh. Having spent silly money on other Wing Chun videos advertised in magazines, I was suprised by this one. I found it at Play.com at just £11.99 and on DVD. The quality is better than I expected and it appears to be a new production made for DVD rather than some old amateurish video. It provides a good overview for the beginner and a reasonable refresher to those who're more experienced. I'd say the balance is about right. Nothing is laboured - it is a quick tour of the system - but it shows all the moves for all three forms (once) and a little wooden dummy work. There is sparring and history/lineage. It tries to cover a lot and does not fail. My one criticism is that it strays into Chi Kung and some brick and board breaking 'stunts'. This could be just showing off or it could be demonstrating the awesome power of 'chi' - either way it strays from the main topic of Wing Chun technique. My favourite training videos are the Randy Williams series - not available on DVD. So if, like me, you are wanting some Wing Chun on DVD this is the only programme I now of - and it is not at all bad. I use it to brush up on Sui Lim Tao and am learning Chum Kiu from it. I'll recommend Play.com again - they do the best price not just on this DVD but on all DVDs. You'll thank me later! Recommended by Jonathan , 8/9/2002.

By Austin Goh. I have also just recently bought this DVD but unfortunately would not recommend it. There is too much side kicking???? and slabbreaking for my liking and not enough looking at traditional Wing Chun. Austin Goh does briefly run through a few Wing Chun principles and techniques but nothing special at all. Your money would be much better spent on some of the Ip Ching, Ip Chun and other Videos available from the Ving Tsun Museum. In my opinion anyway. Recommended by Little Idea , 8/2/2002.

By Clive Potter. Great, I can highly recommend this video. It is a good reference tool and has great explanations of the first form Siu Lim Tao. Nice one Recommended by Little Idea , 8/20/2002.

By Wong Shun Leung. Awesome movie that I consider being one of the best to introduce Wing Chun to beginners. Although I bought it because I wanted to see a master in work, Wong is totally awesome! Especially when he starts chi-sau with one of his students. The only downfall is that the video is only 40 min long. Recommended by Xiaolong , 8/9/2002.

simply ... wing chun kung fuBy Shaun Rawcliffe. This book is excellent and well worth reading. It is full of meaning full diagrams and illustrations rather than the ususal self promoting photos of similar books. The diagrams set out in detail the clinical muscular and skeletal positions and structures of each technique. The text explains why and how each technique and structure works, the skeletal alignment and muscular structure required and a simple check list to ensure the positions can be checked correctly. In short this book delves in great detail into how and why Wing Chun works on an anatomical basis. Fantastic! Recommended by uk_ambassador, 10/21/2003.
