The Weigh in for the Ladies :Sharon Anyos 56.7kg  Linda Tenberg 57.1 for the WBF World Title at the Grand Hotel on the Esplanade in Labrador  on the Gold Coast went off without much ado last night with Tenberg taking about an hour to drop a bit of excess, both Ladies went through a press conference earlier in the day which had Jeff Fenech explaining his change of Heart on Women in the Ring and stating he will be in Sharon's corner which he cetainly would not have entertained a little while ago.

Fights are scheduled to start at 7:pm tonight on Fox Sport the ladies Title Fight is the Feature Fight on the Card,

There were some problems with the Men's weigh in but that's another story

October 2 - 04,

The W.B.F. Featherweight Title!

Boy what a Heart Linda Tenberg has, she stayed in there fighting for 10 rounds and gave all she had and then some but Sharon Anyos was just too strong for her ,Sharon was crowned World Champion after a GREAT fight that brought the house down at Shark's Australian Rules Football Club on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia which had apacked house to witness the FIRST ever Women's World Title in this Country which was broadcast live on Fox again for the first time in about 4 years as (Fox )until this fight refused to air Women's Boxing matches, thanks to Jeff Fenech and his influence in Boxing it was made possible,

Sharon took the fight to Linda and kept the pressure on for the duration of the 10 round and won every round clearly and the Judges scores were 100-90, 99-91, 100-90

Linda held her own all through the fight and never dropped once although she was on the receiving end of some heavy Barrages the crowd were on their feet through the last round and the Fighters had no Chance of hearing their corners instructions ,it's been a long long time since the writer had seen such a responsive and enthusiastic Audience at Boxing, Hats off to both Ladies and congratulations Sharon "Wildthing "Anyos.

Linda Tenberg how good is that Girl !she fought for TEXAS and her trainer Richard Lord more of a Gentleman you could not meet and obviously a great trainer,it  was a pleasure to meet with the Texas Team.

History was made in OZ on October 1
