Yakima Valley Kennel Club
The Yakima Valley Kennel Club is an American Kennel Club recognized organization in central Washington state. Its members hold AKC approved dog shows, sanctioned matches, agility trials and other canine events. The club meets the fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Selah Civic Center in Selah, WA.
Membership in the Yakima Valley Kennel Club, Inc, requires that folks come to the general meetings (4th Tuesday of every month, usually at the Selah Civic Center, at 7:30pm) and/or functions and get to know us (if we don't already know them). At the first meeting, the interested person may request an application, and submit it w/ dues, but it will not be "read" to the group until the second meeting. It must be "read" again at the next attended general meeting (applicant may be interviewed in both readings) at which point the membership casts a written ballot regarding the person's membership. We encourage participation by "newbies" in club events as this helps us get to know the people first. The formal membership policy is included in the By-Laws which will be given to any prospective members when they request an application.
