Tyler Jordan Mooney 7/10/07

Tyler's his birth went fine there were no complications. When he came out he was limp he didn't cry we didn't think anything of it . When they tried to feed him he wouldn't take it because he couldn't suck . That's when we knew something was wrong the doctors checked his blood sugar and it was low they took him to the NICU and started to run tests on him to see if they could see what was wrong with him. It took them a month to find out what was going on . When they knew for sure  they called us into a office with 5 doctors and started to tell us about zellwegers syndrome. They told us that he would only live for six months .

It was so hard to process all the info and to accept the fact that our son was really  sick and the time that we had with him was going to be short . The one thing that crossed my mind was what can I do they told me the only thing I could do was cherish every moment with him . We got him home a month later and every thing was going great . When he turned 7 months he went into respiratory failure. Thankfully  he is still here with us today but he is on a cpap machine his seizures get worse some days he has a lot and the next he ont have any . He is our little miracle  I love him so much . I have always wanted a son and when I got one he was sick but im not mad because I got a chance that many people don't get...

I wrote a poem for him I want to share it with every one..it goes like this it is called Tyler my son
