   El Musical Argentino

The Argentine musical comedy Tanguera is a dramatic piece that at the same time tells the history of the tango and the history of love, all framed with the dance and the music of the most famous tangos. In order to offer a refined and sensual idea, it is pasional y provocadora como el tango. It is the history of Giselle, la nueva chica francesa del burdel, and Lorenzo at the beginning of the 20'th century, starting when Giselle arrives at Argentina from France. Lorenzo is her impossible love, a Creole who is witness of the birth of the tango. Her life is changing, the francesita becomes star of a night club and he an expert in tango and cutler. By binding a tragic history of love with the roots of the tango, born in the popular districts of Buenos Aires at the beginning of last century, the musical Tanguera revolutionized the spectacles of tango in Argentina. Tanguera' s main language is the tango, the performance and the expressions of each actor. The clothes, the stage scene that takes the public to diverse atmospheres, the music and the stage-lightning are of great quality. The spectacle is of world-wide tour, to Mexico-city and countries like Italy, China, Puerto Rico and Colombia. The goal is Broadway in 2007. With an impeccable production in illumination and stage scene, 25 actors and dancers open the scene, simulating to be in an Argentine port at which Giselle arrives, a French girl with triumph illusions and the false promise of marriage. For her bad fortune, the chica just finds the love of her life in a good looking immigrant called Lorenzo who has fallen in love with her, before falling to a night club where she will be trained to be the favorite of the clients. In the musical melodrama Tanguera the Madame sings to Giselle, the new Francesita in the brothel: "Tenés que acostumbrarte a este lugar, a este perfume ocre que hace mal, te vas a acostumbrar también a este dolor de confundir metal con el amor” / get used to this pain confusing metal with the love.

Cabaret Culture - Cena con Espectáculo - Clip

In almost the 90 minutes of duration, it is staged with fragments of popular pieces like "El Choclo", "Milonga de mis amores" and "El Cumparsita", and more original music.Behind Tanguera it is the hand of experts of the entertainment in Argentina. Tanguera appeared for the first time in 2004, "but now they will see it with a renewed concept", expressed the Argentine producer Diego Romay. In interview, Romay explained that Tanguera is "an audacious and provocative, triunfador musical comedy in Europe, Asia and several countries of America. It gained the prize Bugler 2002, five ACE and one important one in Shangai. It reunites to 30 artists in scene, eight pairs of tango, overwhelming clothes of 140 period customes, an unfolding of lights and an aesthetic one that captivate by their poetry and sensuality ". The musical adjustments are of the directors Gerardo Gardelín and the bandoneonist Lisandro Adrober; the songs were written specially for the spectacle by Eladia Blázquez. The direction is in charge of Omar Pacheco, the choreography is of Mora Godoy's, a coreografía of marginal Buenos Aires atmosphere. Diego Romay: "The theater production puts immigrants and Creoles, ruffians and compadres, prostitutas and milongueros, that are catched in a hope game, disillusion and contradicting passions that only the tango knows to reveal throughout its history / Sin ser un apunte cronológico del género, la producción teatral pone a inmigrantes y criollos, rufianes y compadres, prostitutas y milongueros, quienes se encuentran atrapados en un juego de esperanza, desencanto y contradictorias pasiones que sólo el tango sabe revelar a lo largo de su historia". Other spectacles, like "Forever tango", have received critics to be too streamlined. Tanguera is not looked like Forever tango, for example. It has more than 12 companies of tango that have a similar structure: choreographic pictures, sung subjects and an orchestra, dance a pair, a person sings a tango, a choir and an orchestra. "Tanguera is not a spectacle that is to the service of the dance. We do not come to look for virtuosity in the dance, but that the dance is to the service of a history. That is the great difference: Tanguera narrates a history, has a dramatic structure, tells a story: the history of thousands of immigrants, the life of a francesita that arrives at the beginning of 1900 at Argentina / Tanguera narra una historia, tiene una estructura dramatúrgica, cuenta un cuento: la historia de miles de inmigrantes, la vida de una francesita que llega a principios del siglo XX a Argentina, como tantos otros que llegaron a mí país a echar raíces para crecer ". The birth of the tango danced between men; the duels of district, the el cabaret night club, the brothel and the fight, are some of the many scenes. Everything is a argumental design with musicalidad that is journeying by the great subjects and composers of the tango, as Piazzola; in such a way that everything is armed so that there is a great materialized musical score in the movement of the dancers. People will see a spectacle, a history drama and a musical comedy. Along the spectacle, the public will understand life of tango during century XX, since it was a prohibited dance that was only seen in night clubs, later was made more well-known when the young people of high the social class put to the brothels to practice it with the women. Soon it was taken to Paris, where it received success and then it had a very great rage in Argentina and was accepted by all the social classes. Coexistence of styles...  in Tanguera they coexist, musically, very different stylistic concepts, it breaks with the paradigm, with the traditional model of shows. There is sensuality, because the tango is erotic, passional, provocative. Here one is not going to find cachondismo for the cochondismo, if there is eroticism it is because the personages need it, by its conflict / Hay sensualidad, pues el tango es erótico, pasional, provocativo. Aquí no se va a hallar el cachondismo por el cachondismo, sino que si hay erotismo es porque los personajes lo requieren, por su conflicto.

Roles: Leticia Fallacara is Giselle; Esteban Domenichini is Lorenzo and Armando Martínez Pey is Gaudencio. Gerardo Gardelín, director of the orchestra, and Lisandro Adrober, bandoneonista. Original score with the inclusion of more than 20 musicians and near 20 musical pieces has been created.
