So you might be wondering how I create all those dishes that I prepare for parties and romantic dinners. I spend a great deal of time researching each and every recipe (I have two hobbies...cooking and cookbooks!). Once I find a recipe that sounds appealing I plan a night of the week that I will serve it to my "tasting panel". Some meals are suitible for all panel members while other recipes are perfect for adult testing.
At that point I make any adjustments that need to be made in the recipe. Then it gets a second run shortly afterwards to produce a "finished" product. It is only after it has been tested that I offer it to you, the client. If it doesn't meet my standards it doesn't get served to you!
Although it may sound like a lot of work, I actually enjoy the time I spend in my "test kitchen". Below are just a few of the recent items that have come through my kitchen and onto my table.
Caribbean Macaroni and Cheese
Conch Fritters
Tomato, Spinach and Feta Quiche
Donut Holes
Kibbeh with Afghan Bread
African Lamb Shanks with Middle Eastern Couscous
Falafal
