Tapas in Spanish means "lid".  Years ago, workers would come in from the fields after a long day and order a drink and it would be served with a slice of bread and some cured meats on top.  This "lid" was designed to keep the flies out.  Since then it has developed it's own following and evolved into a food movement.

Much like an appetizer served at a cocktail party, these bites of food pair wonderfully with wines.  They are what would be considered a "heavy" appetizer and make a great start to any meal.

A Groovy Get Together offers a wide selection of tapas with the option of going either mild or spicy.  If you are booking a tapas party, a spread of 3-4 varieties are perfect for 8 people or less.  If your event has 9-20 people, plan for 6-7 varieties.

To book your tapas party, please call A Groovy Get Together at 630-830-2880 or email us at agroovygettogether@yahoo.com.
