We had a great 4th of July weekend. We went to Punta Gorda and Sanibel Island on the Gulf side and went to a few beaches. We experienced the effects of a "red tide" for the first time. I was coughing and dead fish were washing up on the shore, pretty scary huh? I am not sure what causes this, but I am sure it is linked to the polution of mankind. On the brighter side, we had lunch at a quant little fishing village and swam in the clear waters of Sanibel Island next to a lighthouse. We dug under the sand and found lots of interesting shells. I should be able to get some pictures online soon of out trip. We stayed with our friends Bob and Melissa who used to be our next door neighbors. The waters on the Gulf of Mexico are very warm and we swam in the waves for a few hours.
Heather and I are very busy right now getting moved from our apartment into a house we are renting from her parents. Moving is a lot of work. I can't believe how much stuff we have and we have already gotten rid of a lot. It is funny how as human beings we accumulate so many posesions. I wonder how it would feel to not have anything. We are blessed and have a lot of nice things. Oh the pleasure and curse of having so many things!

My parents are here in Florida for the next few weeks, we are excited to have them and have many fun things planned. We are going to Epcot, Ponce de Leon Lighthouse, and St. Augustine this weekend. It is starting to warm up here in Florida and I am looking forward to summer and swimming in the ocean again. Work has been great, I have been involved in some fun photo shoots and some great design projects. Today I designed an ad to go in the SW airlines onflight magazine, it turned out really great. It is great to have a job that allows for creativity. Heather and I are going out to Utah and Las Vegas for her birthday in May and are very excited already. We plan to visit all our friends and family in Utah.

Heather and I are so excited for our new baby due to arrive in just 4 weeks. It is such an exciting time. Heather is ready to get this over with. She has done so well with the pregnancy. We have been taking a birthing class on thursdays and learning all about the process. It is amazing how complex we are as human beings. We are almost ready making preparations and have a crib, stroller, and car seat purchased. Work has been crazy again at times, I am now working on our yearly calendar and the christmas card. For the christmas card I had to set up and decorate a tree and take pictures of it. Kind of a strange thing to be doing in September. This weekend my scooter club is doing a charity poker run for the Battered Women and Children's shelter in Titusville. At this event we go to 7 business locations to complete a poker hand. The best hand at the end wins. It should be a lot of fun.
