The Comedian  James Young   (page under construction)

 

James Young was born in Union Street, Ballymoney in 1918.  When he was only six months old, his family moved to Belfast.  A plaque can be seen outside the house where he briefly lived.The plaque was unveilled on the evening of 9 April 1997at his house, by the Mayor of Ballymoney.

James Young was an actor and a comedian.  During his career he purchased a house in Ballyhalbert and called it "Camelot", the name being taken from a play in which he starred.

James Young died on 5th July 1974 from a Heart Attack.  He was buried from his house "Camelot" in Ballyhalbert.
