How do I post to the messageboards?

Join the Group by clicking the Join Now link, then click on the message you want to reply to and click Reply to this message. Write your message in the new window and click Send.

How do I stop getting messages via email?
You are getting messages via email because when you joined you ticked the box saying 'Send all messages immediately to my e-mail inbox'.
To stop getting them you need to change your email settings - go to Member Tools and then Check your Email Settings (http://groups.msn.com/barnsleyrock/_emailsettings.msnw) and check the box by 'On the Web' then scroll down and click Save.

How do I upload pictures to my profile or the messageboards?

Click on the little yellow mountain picture whilst creating your posting, and you will be able to choose from clipart already uploaded by MSN, or upload pictures from other msn groups you have joined, you will have to have pictures in an album first.(may not work with Firefox.)

Another way is to upload your picture to the photo album and copy and paste it from there or from where its hosted on the net.(may not work with Firefox.)

How do I create or edit my MSN Public Profile?
To create or edit or just view your MSN Public Profile click here. Remember that the information you provide can be seen by anyone with Internet access.
The Barnsleyrock Member profiles pages are only a "list" type of page, set up to make it easyer for members to add information about themselves that can be browsed by anyone.
Clicking on a members nickname will only show their Msn public profile (if they have one) and not their Barnsleyrock profile.
Some people have trouble signing into msn groups this is because even tho you might be
signed into you`re own email address you mite not be signed into your net.passport,
probably due to more than one user on the computer.this can usualy be fixed by visiting
your email and then signing in to the group or signing in/out till you are asked for an email and password
If this doesnt work see bellow.....
It happens to all of us, sooner or later we click the Sign-me in automatically box when signing into a .net passport...
and quickly find out that MS is full of half-measure jobs - nobody included a button to turn it off!!!
Now you can not sign in to another passport properly and it is driving you nuts.

Here is how to turn the option off on a WinXP system.
1. Visit the Control Panel
2. Click the User Accounts Icon.
3. Select the user profile.
4. Next, look for the Related Tasks panel to the right.
5. Click the link for "Manage my network passwords".
6. When the gray pop-up appears, click the one which reads: Passport.Net\*(Passport)
7. Click "Remove"
8. It will pop-up warning you that you are about to undo the details, click ok.
9. Exit the User Accounts area.
