Mentally unstable: An analysis of Frodo Baggins, by Dr. Alki, PhD.
I have received several letters from concerned Frodo fans. They are worried that the pressure of being a ringbearer is too much for him, and is taking it's toll on his mental stability. I myself am also worried. I have known Frodo for a very long time, but suddenly he is behaving very erratically indeed, and claiming not to know me. This may be due to a deep-seated anxiety disorder. I have decided to make a slideshow to show you all how very sick he is.
This picture was taken last week, when Samwise Gamgee heard noises coming from his potato patch. He found Frodo burrowing around in the soil, mumbling about hiding from a 'Nazgirl'
This picture was taken at the birth of Sam's child, Frodo. When shown the baby, and told that it was named Frodo after him, he screamed 'It's not mine!! She's lying!!'
This picture was taken just yesterday. Again, Samwise heard suspicious noises coming from his garden. He looked around to see Mr. Frodo running through the back garden. He claimed to be hiding from an unwanted visitor.
This was taken this morning. Frodo turned around and screamed at me 'Stop following me! I don't know you!'
He is obviously very sick in the head.
As a result of his obvious lunacy, I have decided to prescribe Valium, to calm his nerves.
THREE WEEKS LATER
He has got a terrible allergic reaction to the drug. He now looks like this.
When asked for a quote, he said 'Bugger off. This is all your FAULT!'
Tragically, it is too late for Frodo. He cannot tell friend from foe. He has been admitted to Rivendell Mental Home.
