You know you're obsessed when...

1) You cried at ROTK. Not because it was sad, but just because it's OVER!

2) You tape your ears to make them look pointy, or glue hair to your feet.

3) You refuse to wear shoes, because if hobbits needn't, then you needn't.

4) You've suddenly got an interest in mushrooms, ale and pipeweed.

5) You wear a ring, and find yourself taking it off and looking at it, every so often.

6) You painted the dwarven inscription of Moria onto your door, and won't enter without saying 'mellon'

7) You talk about the actors/ characters as if they're personal friends.

8) You have all your pictures stored on discs in case your computer crashes.

9) You've rounded up some friends to help you make your very own LOTR film.

10) You know who Figwit is. In fact, you've named all the nameless people in LOTR.

11) You wish that Tolkien had written 'The New Shadow'

12) You know what 'The New Shadow' is.

13) You have an Elven name, and use it.

14) You've shaved your feet in hope that the hair will grow back thicker.

15) You've taken to wearing your homemade cloak when you watch LOTR.

16) When you see vertically challenged people in the street, you can't help but wonder if they have hairy feet.

17) You read the books out loud, just so that you can do the voices.

18) During your local election, you wear a rosette for either Sam and Frodo.

19) You can't understand why some people just don't like LOTR.

20) When people DO talk to you about the actors, you can't help correcting them by saying 'It's pronounced VEE-go'

21) You've suggested to your mother that you get round doors, and she starts crying because she thinks you're saying that she's fat *whistles*

22) You DID put cardboard around your windows to make them round.

23) You actually speak Elvish. And know the difference between Quenya and Sindarin.

24) You have things like 'Frodo's birthday' and 'Council of Elrond' in your calender.

25) You tried to write a great novel, but realised it was basically LOTR.

26) You spend hours searching for lists like this or character quizzes.

27) You understand words like 'Ringnut' 'Nazgirls' and 'Slashwraith'

28) You giggle to yourself whenever someone mentions the horn of Gondor or a purple dress.

29) You find yourself quoting LOTR as often as you can. Sometimes you get carried away and act out whole scenes. Then wonder why everyone is staring at you.

30) You've been banned for the cinema because you tried to steal the cardboard cutout.

31) You went home and disguised yourself, then went back to get it, and got kicked out again.

32) You get upset because you're not short and hairy enough to be a hobbit, but you're too short and tubby to be an elf.

33) Whenever you see one of the actors in a film, you constantly refer to them as their character in LOTR, and even name the film after them. eg: 'From Hell' becomes 'Bilbo the Ripper'

34) You try to walk around with your eyes open as you sleep.

35) Whenever you see the typical Santa's elves on the TV, you start screaming, because Elves aren't like that!

36) You explain to your friends about Figwit or the VSDs, but they just don't care, so you talk to yourself about it.

37) You dream about the actors, then cry when you wake up because you thought it was real :(

38) You get the Elvish 9 tattoo, because you consider yourself a member of the fellowship.

39) Your friends know all the LOTR songs, even though they've never read the books.

40) You made up a tune for a song in the book.

41) You're convinced that the Balrog has wings. (It DOES!!)

42) You play clips of the film over and over again, because that little nod Frodo does in Bree is so CUTE! ^^.

43) You buy people presents when it's your birthday, and expect them to do likewise.

44) You know, and care, that Flipper has been discontinued.

45) You've actually converted to believe in the Valar.

46) So sing along to Enya. Even the Elvish parts.

47) You make your best friend go out with her ex again, because he knew Orli!!

48) You can write with Tengwar.

49) You burnt your mother's wedding ring, because you were CONVINCED it was the One Ring

50) You've developed an inordinate fear of spiders.
