This verse,  is particularly concerning false teachers, which should rightly be disfellowshipped if they persist in it(Vs.9-11).  But it also has a valuable truth which can apply to all. That is, if I should be lost eternal, it is not because God caused me to be, but because I brought this condemnation upon myself. In such a case, I only have myself to blame--for in truth, God wanted me to not perish, but be saved!
