Welcome to Big Bend Photos! Founded in July of 2004, this is a MSN Group about people, places and things relating to the Big Bend National Park, which receives approximately 350,000 visitors each year from all over the world. In 2005, the park set a new record of 401,000 visitors, the highest number of visitors in the park's 61 year history. Encompassing nearly one million acres, there is plenty of room for everyone to explore. Hiking, camping, photography, fishing, bird watching, mountain biking and just plain old relaxing, are just a few of the many activities visitors engage in. If you are planning a trip to the "Bend", be sure to do your homework before you go, with reference to what to bring, wear and general rules and regulations of the park. Big Bend National Park is located in far southwestern Texas, on the border of Texas and Mexico. It is a remote wilderness area, and visitors should prepare accordingly. On this website you will find numerous Big Bend links here: http://groups.msn.com/bigbendphotos/links.msnw , many of which are also listed on various search engines such as MSN, Yahoo and Google. I hope that you find these links useful in your trip preparations and knowledge of the Big Bend area, its fans, friends and supporters. As the name of this group is "Big Bend Photos", there are more than 1000 photos located on six pages here: http://groups.msn.com/bigbendphotos/shoebox.msnw as posted by group members. You are more than welcome to join the group and post photos of your own experiences in the Bend & area to share with others.
