Date of Birth:  November 03, 1960 Inkster, Michigan USA  ~ Resides:  Calgary, Alberta Canada ~Background:  Started Martial Arts training in January 1973 ~ Promote to the rank of  8th Dan Black Belt in Tang Soo Do on August 5th, 2000


 Master Carl Tate # 15072 Is the highest ranked non-oriental in Canada in Tang Soo Do. His credentials and reputation are world renowned.  Master Tate has received the highest recognition, appointments, and degree of anyone outside of Korea here in Canada.  He has more than 33 years of experience of studying, training, researching, teaching and performing one of the World's most effective forms of korean self defense.

He is the founding President of First Canada Tang Soo Do and the Canadian Tang Soo Do Association,  a senior member of the American Tang Soo Do Association & United Tang Soo Congress.  He offers credentials to Black Belts who wish to excel in the profession of teaching Tang Soo Do through First Canada Tang Soo Do and the American Tang Soo Do Association & United Tang Soo Congress.  Master Tate developed a unique Instructor's Degree System to keep the retention of high ranking black belts.

He currently has more than 203 Masters and Black Belt students from first to seven dans.  He is known throughout the world for his impressive brick and concrete breaking techniques and high impact Sparring on the Open Karate Circuit and the Martial Arts exhibitions. Master Carl Tate is also a member of World Breaking Association and the U.S. Breaking Association.
