MSN Code of Conduct · Books and Reading is a public community open to all ages. Although MSN and the Book and reading Managers do not recommend these areas to those that are under the age of 13, we must keep in mind some younger children may reach our community, so keep it clean please. · All posts are subject for immediate deletion and members subject to immediate ban, if not in accordance with the Books and Reading Guidelines. · Topics, Links, Pictures or any other form of posting that consist of explicit sexual comments, profanity, discussions of illegal activities, harassment, arguing or advertising are not permitted on our community! · Books and reading does NOT allow selling or trading of any kind! We are not a flea market. · All posts that are book related should be limited to the proper message board, NOT the General message board. Please remember, we are a group of various ages, cultures, religions and beliefs. · No Disrespect: although someone may not agree with your opinion or you may not with theirs, there is no reason to disrespect or lash out at someone else's beliefs · No harassment: remember harassment of any kind is not tolerated in Books and Reading. · Content: remember we are still a public community and you never know the age of the participants here... so keep it CLEAN  · Think: think before you reply ... think about what you are typing... think before you hit send... some of the topics of course are bound to be an issue you have a strong stand on... some wont at all... but remember we have to play nice in the sandbox  · Your post may be deleted! If your reply to a thread does not adhere to the Books and Reading Rules, it will be deleted. If your thread begins disrespectfully to other members it will be deleted. · FUN: this community is for fun!  Its a great way to find out what books other like and what they are reading. · URL's should be posted under "Member Web Sites" or " Recommendation." or on the PROMOTE HERE message board. Even in the approved areas, URL's are subject for immediate deletion if they are inapropriate for a PG-13 rated community or if they are "for profit". We do not allow blatant advertising on any of our messages boards - - other than the PROMOTE HERE message board and there will be NO "for profit" advertisements. If you advertise any place else other than the approved places, your thread may be deleted! REMEMBER: Books and Reading does NOT allow selling or trading of any kind! We are not a flea market. · If you have a question, concern, idea, comment or complaint please e-mail the managers. Please do not complain or question the managers decisions on the message boards. Your complaints will only be addressed if emailed to the management directly. A member is someone who has joined our group, read the MSN Code of Conduct, as well as our Guidelines. Violating the Code and the Guidelines is grounds for dismissal from the group. Authors who join the group are considered members and must follow the rules. Promoting Your Book: We ask that the only place Authors post their book promotions is on the "PROMOTE HERE" board. You may also promote your book in the Recommendations area. If you have a website about your book or about your career as an Author, you may post that link in the Member Web Sites area. If you elect to post your book on the "Promote Here" board, you may only "bump" or repost your message once a month. You may not use this board to direct sell copies of your book -- if members wish to purchase the book, they will either go the usual routes or contact you for sale information. You may not use this board as a marketplace - do not post links to ebay, Amazon, or other business websites. You can direct interested buyers to your link located in our Recommendations area or in the Member Web Sites area. Links: We allow links within a message as long as the link is to a g-rated site and that the post consists of more than just a link. We ask that links to "for profit" or sales websites not be posted on the board, but be placed in the Recommendations or Member Web Sites areas. Members who do nothing more than promote their book or post links to their website, may find their posts deleted. If you have questions, please feel free to contact any of the managers.
