| Sometimes if you listen hard enough you hear it....that deep intuition which, when it comes, is not noticed as an intuition at all, unless one has been trained as a warrior to notice when silent knowledge appears. Each person can make a difference to the world. As can words.Words can change the world. They are power. They can incite, torture, kill, comfort, heal, encourage, humiliate, anger, inspire, sadden, give joy, make one laugh, and they can forever change one’s life. And the unsaid words.... how they could have changed the course of history! Would they have altered the destructive lives of John Wilkes Booth, Adolph Hitler, Lee Harvey Oswald, Jeffrey Daumer, or the Son of Sam?Would the unspoken I love you’s have given them a new lease on life had those three words been bestowed upon them? -You alone possess the ability to change your world, make friends, and influence people. You have the key. Use your words for good. The Mind is the great Slayer of the Real and good.Do not let it slay the goodness within you.People are born to seek power. All that they hold dear, their justice, love, property, and wisdom, are subservient to their epic quest for power. Power is as necessary to the enjoyment of life as water is to the survival of life.Yet a tense silence surrounds this fact. The most celebrated individuals, the Mohandas Gandhis and Martin Luther Kings among us, have been welcomed as a source of Power.People, except for a small and sluggish minority, are unsatisfied conquerors who seek new frontiers. We need leaders and followers. And one normally knows by Adult hood which one is. Power, like our thoughts... depends on where we take them. It is a myth that all power is evil, all power is political, and all powerlessness is righteous. The truth is much more affirmative.Power reflects environment. A person's power at a specific spacetime depends upon both his or her talents and upon nearby persons' priorities. Now, as crucial decisions are being made about a possible war with Iraq, it's fair to ask the same question to one who has political power. War with Iraq is a deadly serious issue, one that could place tens of thousands of American lives on the line.WHAT'S BEST?"To be Ghandi in this and silence the weapons.Or be like Hitler and let the smoke roll?Saddam Hussein. The Dali Lama. We allow war to gain peace. So i suppose it is in the eye of the beholder how one beholds these things. And then there is us. Who hold the power of how we deal with this in our minds and in our spirit and in our lives. There is a land of light within unexplored acres of awareness untouched by the multitudes;no vines of animosity grow here. This land is rife with reality. It is within us,welcoming us yet warning us.Pure silence that we know to be the answer to all questions. You just keep walking into the wind.A curious power that carries us through time and into the doorway of all our tomorrows. | |
