bladder/kidney infection- Su 11/30/2006
In January 2006 I had a physical which included a urine test. My Doctor said that it indicated that I had blood in my urine, I told her that I had no symptoms at all, she wrote me a script of antibotics of which I didn't take because I had no symptons. (I have had UTI infections prior, at least 3 within the last 2 years) Recently I felt that I had a kidney infection, went into Dr office and the urine test indicated that I had blood in my urine. I took Bactrim of which I had a severe allergic reaction to after 4 days and then was prescribed Cypro. I took of cypro and still felt the same, went back to Dr and still blood in urine and re-prescribed cypro. I still don't think its gone, but Dr doesn't seem concerned, she didn't want to do urine test the last time, I had to insist. Should I be concerned?
Yes, you should be concerned. And I think you were wise to hold off on taking meds that might not help, and could even hurt your situation.
The most probable cause of blood in urine is a chemical exposure that causes Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia also called Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. (Not easily found, but there all the same)
A chemical called 2-butoxyethanol does this. (Look for ingredients that say ethylene glycol + BUTYL) It is in many cleaning products, in paint. I suspect this chemical is the cause of CFIDS and that it is the cause of 'gulf war syndrome' You should recall flu ... or diarrhea ... as that is what this chemical exposure looks like. Even continuous 'sniffles' or sinus congestion. Do you have fatigue? Difficulty concentrating? Short Term Memory loss?
