Welcome Aboard the CHESSIE CHAPTER!
Always Current, Always on Track!    Site Last Updated: May 13th
, '08!
Next stop: Spring!

Welcome Aboard the Chessie Chapter, an online resource with a wide spectrum of information about CSX and predecessors throughout Michigan.  First and foremost, we hope you'll take a moment to join this website; it's free and as easy as clicking "Join Now" on the left column.  Recent news, website updates, and a history of the Chessie Chapter are available in Direct From the Editors.  Additional news posts and trip reports can be found on the Rail Bulletin, our message board.  The Rail Bulletin is also our online archives, keeping old news available to you dating as far back as 2001.  We continue to bring you some of the best CSX roster and scenic photos on the web, now counting to nearly 475 images of locomotives and cabooses around Michigan and the CSX system.  CSXT Michigan Subdivisons has been updated with the latest train symbols, routes, and operating times for trains rolling on the four subdivisions making up the old Pere Marquette high iron across the state.  Also recently updated, CSX Predecessors has the latest reports of the TWO remaining predecessors system-wide.  We also hope you'll take a moment to click on Chessies Road, an excellent resource for railfanning the Plymouth, MI CSX diamond and surrounding area.  We continue to keep pace with the ongoing track maintenance and signal upgrades around the state, and suggest that photographers get their shots of C&O era searchlight signals now before they all disappear.  Please take a look around at the ongoing changes we've made, in the spirit of C&O For Progress!  Feel free to drop us a line at the email below to let us know what you think.  Preventing train accidents is a big deal!  SAFETY FIRST!
