If you have a question, or need help with how to do something here at CPB, this is the place to look. We've tried to anticipate most things a new member would want to know, and information "old" members might have forgotten. We hope all of you find this helpful!

GETTING STARTED

1. How do I apply to become a member?

To apply to join CPB, go to our How To Join page. It's located in the list of links in blue to the left of each page at CPB. Once there, simply follow our step-by-step instructions!

2. How soon will I know if my application was accepted?

You will get email notification within 24 to 48 hours. In the event you do not hear from us by then,you might want to re-apply. Sometimes MSN "burps" and an application gets lost.

3. Once I'm a member, how do I sign in?

Near the top of each page on CPB, is a button that will say either sign in or sign out. To sign in, click on that button and sign in using the email address you used to apply to CPB.To check to see if you are signed in, look to the right side of the page, at the bottom of the purple area. You should see your group name there with ( member ).

4. Ok, you accepted my application and I'm a member. Now what do I do?

We suggest the first thing new members do is go to our Site Rules page and take a couple of minutes to read all the rules. That way you'll be familiar with them and will know what you can and can't put in your posts. After that, check out the Welcome page as it will give you an over-view of our many features. It's also a good idea to visit our Message Boards Index and see how many boards we have and also read the descriptions for each board toward the bottom of that page. Then, you should just take a look around the site, click on the links in the list to the left of each page and basically get to know us and see what we have to offer. It's also helpful to read through some existing threads to see what our members have to say, and then go to the New Members board and post a message introducing yourself to the group!

5. I'd love to post a message. How do I do that?

If you want to post a new message, go to the Message Board you want to put it on, and above the list of all the threads, click on New Discussion. A small window will open that looks similar to many email or word applications. You simply type your message, and when you are done, click on send message.

If you want to reply to a post in an existing thread, click on "reply" in the upper left corner of the post, and then follow the same steps as described above.

6. How do I know where to put my post?

Take a couple minutes and go to our Message Board Index. You'll find descriptions for each of our Message Boards. If you're still unsure, go check out some of the boards and read the other posts that are already there, and that should help.

7. How do I change my font in posts? How do I use emoticons in posts?

To change your font, click on "Font Style" in the tool bar at the top of the window you type your message in. To change the color of your font, click on the "A". To change the size of your font, click on "Font Size". ONE IMPORTANT TIP: When choosing your fonts and colors, please remember many of the lighter colors are VERY hard to read, and smaller font sizes can make them hard, if not impossible, to read as well. You don't need to use a HUGE font size, most people find that size 3 or 4 works best.

To add an emoticon in your post, simply place your cursor where you want the emoticon to go, then click on the smiley face in the tool bar, and click on the one you want to use. If it doesn't go where you want it, simply click on it to get a square of little boxes around it then either use your delete key or the scissors icon ( Cut ) on the tool bar.

8. How do I contact a manager if I need help with something?

To contact CPB Management, you can send an email to askamanager@hotmail.com or go to the Manager Contact page and email one of us directly using the email addresses found there.
