THE CASA WEB http://www.CASApeople.com CASA was founded in 2001 by Cheryl Whitney and Susan Moses. Since its inception, the CASA Web has become a local hub for actors, screenwriters, playwrights, theatre groups, talent agents, filmmakers, and a host of entertainment industry professionals and organizations. Meeting announcements, casting calls, local audition notices, local film and theatre news, upcoming events and our infamous member banter and industry discussions are just a few of the topics. The Photo Albums include member photos, professional headshots of our local talent, photos from the sets of local film productions, event photos, and promotional artwork. A Documents Folder is available for those who wish to post (or read other's) bios or industry related papers and files. The CASA Local and General Links are a great resource when trying to locate other groups and resources. In addition to our Web and General Assemblies, CASA also has WRITERS GROUPS. Actors are also encouraged to workshop their monologues. Two "15 Minute Writer/Actor Spotlight" segments are available for actors or writers who wish to perform small skits for audience critique. Typically included among the audience participants are filmmakers who are scouting for talent. There will be an opportunity during each meeting for any industry related announcements concerning current & future projects, writing or acting classes, meetings, auditions, etc. Feel free to bring your promotional materials. WHO'S INVITED All writers and actors who are able to attend are encouraged to do so. Agents, Filmmakers, Directors and Producers are invited to join us as audience participants. New comers at all levels are welcome. WHAT TO BRING Writers interested in having 1-6 pages of their scripts read should prepare copies and a brief character breakdown for each performer. Actors should consider bringing their headshots & bios to the meeting. There is no charge for the meetings or to be a member, so please bring a snack item and a six pack of water or soft drink to share. Meeting Benefits: - produces helpful and useful commentary for all participants

- is a valuable networking and scouting tool for the local filmmaking community.
