Beverly Sills Discography Below are all (or nearly all) of the recorded performances of Beverly Sills. I had to break it down into four separate Web pages due to my Web host MSN suddenly limiting the size of Web pages. The first major section (Discographies 1 - 3) lists all commerically or privately released items on LP or CD organized by composer and work. This includes all her studio performances, as well as the many live performances or broadcasts that were issued on LP or CD over the years. I've tried to include dates, casts, locations and conductors when known, but some live material on the private LPs does not note this information. I have not listed separate LP releases of "highlights" of her complete operas or the many LP aria compilations containing her commercial recordings (often arias taken from her complete recordings for EMI/Angel). But all CD compilations are mentioned, even if out of print. No cassettes or reels are mentioned (this is the 21st Century). In this first section, broken down by composer last name, the items listed in blue are studio recordings, the items listed in green are live recordings. I've only listed the original US release of the LP on commerical recordings, but I've tried to list all LP releases on any private or live selections. For label references, I have included only the essential part of label numbers. Another section follows in Discography 4 with a listing of still more distinctly non-commerical material that exists in the so-called 'pirate underground.' There are many, many documented live performances of Sills available on tape from in-house sources, broadcasts, or pirates. As many of these extra performances are duplications of music she also recorded in the studio, I have listed only material that she did not record in the studio, as well as any videos or landmark events, such as the premieres or debuts.
