MSN Messenger 7 (BETA)

Welcome to the MSN Messenger 7 section. The official MSN Messenger 7 BETA test was suppose to be released on November 11th, but some special people (like myself) got it early.

During this BETA a major security feature was noticed and as a result to this the MSN Messenger 7 BETA no longer works, Boohoo or maybe not? read on...

Being a Microsoft Beta Tester, I have a new build of MSN Messenger and testing it out again and things look good and improved.

New Features

With MSN Messenger 7, there has been some new features, which seems like Microsoft has been working hard copying Yahoo Messenger

• Winks - This feature allows a user to send a big cartoon image onto a contacts screen, such as a kiss or pulling a face.
   
• Nudge - A user can 'nudge' another user which basically shakes your contacts and your own window for about 20 seconds quite fast, not for the weak stomach
   
• Download Packs - This feature allows a user to get files directly from MSN such as, Display Pictures, Emoticons, Winks and Backgrounds
   
• Games - Usual MSN Messenger games, including a few new ones if your a Clubhouse member such as, Chess Club and Bankshot Billiard.
   
• Activities -  Activities is where you can send files, calenders and remote assistance.
   
• Deluxe Display Pictures - This feature doesn't work yet, but I assume it's animated display pictures.
   
• Search Engine - MSN's own search engine is included at the bottom of MSN Messenger
   
• Sign In As - Well now you can sign in as Offline, Busy, Away, Be Right Back, Out To Lunch, On The Phone and as Online. 
   
• Emoticons - You can now have animated emoticons in convosations and it can be a large image too.
   
• Drawing - You can draw messages and images to your friends using the built in draw feature.

Note - Some features might not be in the official MSN Messenger 7, released as late as February 2005
