Settlement Check Received

Today I received a check for$235.47 from the Office of the Settlement Administrator of the Federal Trade Commission. They have settled the lawsuit against UrbanQ.com. It says this is my share of the money collected. It gives this telephone number if one has any questions: 1-866-233-5624 .I cannot access my records on this but I think they owed me $300 and some dollars, so this seems a good amount in comparison to what is being expected from the Cyberrebates bankruptcy settlement. Just thought I'd let you all know who may have also been scammed by UrbanQ. Janet Ma'ly

12,500 dollars in rebate

I used Discover to order most of Cyberrebate stuffs. I have been too embarrassed even to mention to others about this because I was so upset with myself for being so gullible. Discover rejected my letter and did not return a cent. Is there any case where people won this against Discover Card? It probably is too late now, but I just received the final notice from Cyberrebate to inform me about its final phase in bankrupcy. Is anybody out there any longer? I was in the emailing group to get informed about a way to fight this, but no message has been exchanged for last three years. If anybody can give any advice, it would help me out, at least spiritually. Thank you, all.

I have paid off all my outstanding credit card balances by refinancing my home so I never bothered to pursue disputing anything with my credit cards and have even since then closed several of the credit cards that I used to charge with. I am out almost $12,000 and was wondering if there was anything I could still do? Thank you. Nancy J.

Why do some give the credit and others fight it. There must be a reason that some give it. If we could find out why, we could use it against theothers, don't you think. (I wrote the previous post re: urbanq and the ny attorney general).

You need to file a complaint with the NY Attorney General. They have an online complaint form. I filled that out and called them. I finally got a return call and they sent me a letter last week asking for documents. I mailed them Thursday. If you do this too, they will see there are alot of people cheated here too. I told them they need to nip it in the bud before they file bankruptcy like CR. I am tired of all these crooks!

Does anyone have a copy of the old Urbanq.com web-pages that dealt with how q-bates are handled by them ? I see that they havechanged their website and now even barely mention them, no explanation, etc. anymore. However, I am still out money for q-bates which I never received but which now show on the website as checks having been sent. (Yeah right, and I am the Queen of England) Would appreciate a copy of the page if anyone has it. LJLuke@worldnet.att.net

I have persued the CC companys to no avail. They refunded and recharged. Case closed. NOW WHAT? Where is the settlement for CR? Whereis the justice system and what are they doing??

I sent in their letter that offered three options: I picked one that stated I did not receive merchandise (the closest one to my problem). Receivedletter that my dispute has been refused! Claimed they could not do anything else for me. Currently writing them a letter with ALL the information in hopes of it turning to something good.

My Visa company just told me via a letter that the rebate was not an integral part of the purchase agreement and since I received the merchandise they will reverse the temporary hold charge me and call the case closed. Needless to say I'm upset and feeling pretty hopeless. Norma

Reversing credits

Got the letter from Chase reversing all of my credits into charges again. They state that they will no longer correspond with me regardingthis matter, the case is closed. I am still pursuing them. It looks really bad.
