Here is a list of foods, etc that I've found online and in books that are generally considered bad for your rat. They can be deadly or cause health problems. In most cases I've tried to leave a note explaining why you should avoid them.

Bleu Cheese..The mold is toxic to rats
Licorice....May cause neurollgical poisoning
Raw dry beans or peanuts
Raw sweet potato...forms cyanide in the stomach
Raw Red cabbage
Brussel Sprouts
Raw Artichoke...inhibits protein digestion
Green bananas
Green potato skin and eyes...contains a toxin named solanine
Wild insects..may carry parasites and pestacides
Raw bulk tofu..may contain bacteria
Orange juice for males...Can cause kidney cancer (d-limonene in the skin oil)

Foods that you should feed with caution!
Or the jury is still out

Carnonated beverages ( beer, soda, champagne etc)..rats can not burb and there is nothing worse than a drunken rat! Takes very little to get them intoxicated. Be kind...just a taste is fine
Chocolate...contains caffeine and a rats heart rate in high enough, can cause heart failure and hyper rats. Plus they'll get fat
Yogurt drops....Yes they are bad for our rats! Derby and the rest of my clan would DIE with out a daily yogurt drop though. So feed them as a special treat only. They are full of sugar and fat...must be why they taste so good :)
Coffee..also contains caffeine. Derby loves his morning sip though. we switched to decafe
Dried Corn...high level of fungal contaminates, also high levels of nitrates and amines. combined these two can cause cancer
Celery
beets
lettuce
cucumber     All need to be limited due to nitrates
radishes
spinach
collard greens
turnip greens

More to come..........................
