Treat  Talk

Ferrets love treats.  Given in small amounts, most treats will not be harmful for your ferrets.  Ferrets pretty much love the taste of most human foods.

There are a lot of foods that should never be given to your ferrets.  These are the naughty snacks. Snacks that do not properly digest in their little intestines and could cause problems are sugary foods, dairy products, pastas/breads, and raw hard-vegetables such as carrots.   Meats with bones could end up being a choking hazard (never give bones!).

Ferrets need a balanced diet with proper nutrients.

Ferretcentral.org has a great site with lots of information about ferrets. Here are topics related to snacks and diets: What to feedTreatsOverweight?

If your ferret's favorite treats aren't already listed, please add them to the Ferret Community's Treats List.

Ferret treats available at theFerretStore.com

If you're a licensed vet, shelter, or just have years of experience and would like to add a write-up to this page, please send an e-mail to HERE.
