Sharing Thoughts About the Stages of Grief

No two widows experience exactly the same stages of grief,
for the same length of time, in the same order,
or to the same degree.
I am unique, and so are YOU.
The stages below are those that most widows experience.
Each is introduced with an excerpt from Annie's book,
For Widows Only!, to help you get started.
Just click on the one you want to read about or talk about with others.
(Scroll back to the second message of each stage if you want to read the excerpt.)
Read through conversations until you find one you wish to respond to, and click "Reply".
Or post a "new message" of your own and wait for a response.
The message boards come alive through additions by members and readers.
Seek the help you need, and offer help to others.
The rewards will be great.
How about you?
What are you feeling right now?
What has been the worst stage for you?
What have you learned about a stage that might help others?
Shock
Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Guilt
Depression
Cockiness
Anxiety
Confusion
Acceptance

with one of the stages, click on it in the
panel on the left. Or just click on its name above.
You can also read about each stage by going to the page: "Stages of Grief,"
"From inside a dark cocoon, it's hard to believe you'll ever be a butterfly."
