               G.C.A.M  News!

It has been brought to our attention that some of our Planes are rather loud. Please be considerate of the neighbors and make Every effort to make sure your planes are equipped with an unaltered muffler system. We will not lose our field because we don't have enough common sense to be respectful of our neighbors at the field!

If your unaltered muffler is loud then do what you must to quiet it down, we have always been able to let our flying be governed by common sense and have avoided a lot of unnecessary rules. Please lets keep it that way.  After all, noise is by far the single biggest reason clubs lose their fields.

Also there seems to still be some confusion about flying behind the flight line! Per the A.M.A. Safety Code, under Radio Control item #4. at all flying sites a safety line or lines must be established, in front of which all flying takes place. Intentional flying behind the safety line is prohibited.  At our field the safety line is considered to be the edge of the runway in front of the pilot stations. These lines extend indefinitely to the left and right.

                              Thank-you,

                       The Officers of G.C.A.M.
