Event	CHA Hamster Show
Location	Lake Forest, CA

Description	CHA Hamster Show January 28, 2006 -- We would like to invite everyone to the CHA's last show for 2005! Hamster Show at Serrano Creek Park in Lake Forest (barring a major weather event). Come prepared for a joint hamster show and picnic in the park. There are shady and sunny areas as well as playground equipment, restrooms, and soda and water vending machines. Bring a blanket and picnic lunch to enjoy. You might want to also bring a chair to watch the show since picnic benches are limited and may not allow you to be close enough to see or hear well. Approximate Timeline of Events 9:00 - 9:30 Check-in 9:30 - 10:00 Health Checks (mandatory for all hamsters) 10:00 - 12:00 Pet and Fun Class judging for Dwarves and Syrians 11:00 - 12:00 Dwarf Standards Class judging 1:00 - 3:00 Syrian Standards Class judging There will be the Standards Classes as well as a few pet/fun classes. We will include: 1. Best Pet 2. Best Eyes and Ears 3. Most Unusual Color and/or Pattern 4. Best Personality Note: There will be no "Fastest Hamster in the Ball" event at this show due to the outdoor location. Entries are due to arrive at our Show Secretary's by 6 pm on the Wednesday before the show. Supplies and other hamster/small animal items will be available for purchase at very affordable prices, including quallity lab blocks and various types of bedding. CHA members are allowed to sell animals at this show so long as CHA sales policies are followed. Please see the website for details. Time	Fri: 4-9pm/ Sat & Sun: 10-5pm
Description	Hi there! There is an upcoming Vancouver Pet Expo, located in Canada Place starting March 18-20. I am not sure if there will be any other hamster breeders other than myself, but there are going to be all sorts of pets there. From what I know, there is going to be a petting zoo of some sort, several seminars, dog shows, adoption alleys, and a display of an assortment of pets. Admission is $ 8 for adults, $6 for students/seniors, and free for children under 12. I hope to see some people there! Take care! Judy
