Bronchoscopy Photos
These photos were taken on 2/20/2004. The patient is Manager Luba Kobzeff. She is 6 months post heart/double lungs. The two bottom photos are of the tracheal tube as the camera is coming down the windpipe into the lungs. You can see where the tube separates into each of the lungs. The two top photos are of the individual lung tubes. You can see where they continue to separate little by little as they continue into the lung. This is what normal, healthy transplanted lungs should look like. It may take time for the lungs to look this way as my lungs were still a little pale a month after transplant.
