Urban RnB artists B2K, meaning Boys of 2000, began their rise to fame largely through the intervention of Chris Stokes, long-time manager to IMx. Chris Stokes, also manager to IMx, is Raz Bs cousin, while Omarion and J-Boog are cousins among the group, Omarion is Marques (Batman) Houstons of IMx brother and J-Boog is Batmans cousin. Omarion(17), J-Boog (16), Lil Fizz (16), and Raz-B(16) are all still in there teens, nevertheless, their self-titled debut album sounded impressively mature. The party spirited and romantic R&B tracks benefited enormously from the input of Platinum Status producers. With their dynamic stage show, B2K wowed audiences and won rave reviews on tour with hip hop heart throb Lil Bow Wow in the summer of 2001, and they later appeared in the youngsters music video Ghetto Girls. Theyve also made appearances on the Jenny Jones Show, BETs 106 and Park, MTVs Dismissed, and Soul Train. Each members brings something special to the group. Lil Fizz brings his energetic raps while the other three members smooth, lush voices make their songs hard to resist. While album sales continue to rise and the groups popularity continues to soar while they appear on album covers across the country, who knows what more they might achieve in their lives?
