Farewell Party in US Consulate General Guangzhou

Mr. Wu was invited to attend deputy principal officer's farewell party in Consulate General of United States Guangzhou on May 30,2001 before he returned United States for 3 months break.His next post was to work in the US embassy in Ukraine.

Mr. Wu was also invited to visited US cultural and education exchange section in Guangzhou Garden Hotel.The public affairs officer Mr. Mark Canning in the US Consulate General cultural and education exchange section gave Mr. Wu some books and a USA info CD Rom as the gifts.

Paul Hacker Deputy principal officer from Consulate General of United States of America Guangzhou, visited an Elementary school in Shaoguan (Yuebei) north Guangdong(Zhixin Elem. the former Zhenjiang No.1 Elem.).Dr. Paul Hacker wanted to see Mr. Wu's 6th grade class who received the reply letter from American President Bush.

During his stay in Zhixin Elementary School,he was showed around the school campus,and had a nice free talk with the school kids and the teachers there.  

Dr.Paul Hacker received the warm and kind reception in Shaoguan.the  deputy mayor of Shaoguan met him in the Government  VIP Hotel some other leaders from local education department  financial and agriculture sections also attended the meeting.
