A Special Day On Sunday January 6th 2002 over 100 past and present members of Jomac Productions, together with many representatives of Hospitals, Senior Citizens Centres, etc. assembled at the Holy Family Residence, Roebuck, Dublin to attend The Jomac Golden Jubilee Mass. Fr. Daniel Dargan S.J. of the Sacred Heart Church, Limerick, who is a life long friend of the group, celebrated the Mass. Other special guests included, the Deputy Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Garry Keegan, the Rev. William Richie who represented the Church of Ireland and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Abrahamson who were present on behalf of the Jewish Community.Members of Jomac Productions, Joey Doyle, the Leech Family, John Maguire, Denis Rahill and Tom Walsh provided appropriate accompaniment to the celebration with both song and musical items, while the readers were, Eddie Bennett, Muriel Casey, Eamonn Fitzpatrick, Morgan Hackett and Ann-Marie McGowan. A reception afterwards was an opportunity for many old friends to meet (some after 50 years), and recall their times as Jomac members. Many stories were exchanged and arrangements made for future get togethers ahead of the 50th Jomac Party to be held in the Shieling Hotel, Raheny on Saturday 17th August 2002. Everyone agreed that January 6th was really special. The Group would like to extend a very sincere “Thank You” to the Little Sisters of the Poor in Roebuck for their kindness and wonderful hospitality in sharing, so generously, their facilities with us. It was indeed a wonderful day, which will be remembered by all those privileged to have been present. Jubilee Committee Jomac Productions .
