4 - YEAR
The derivatives of the word “year” (sinet, sinin) pass 19 times in the Quran. The years both according to the sun and to the moon, because of the left over years, needs to be re-arranged. When the world turns around the sun 365 times, the moon turns around the world and itself 12 times. This constitutes a year. But when the world concludes its cycle and forms a year, the moon still has some way to go. As a result, it takes 19 years for the world and the moon to meet at the same starting point. This 19 years period is called the Meton era. The lunar calendar which is re-arranged in every 19 years, ends up with 7 left over years (355 days) and 12 full years (354 days) during this period. It is also another surprising characteristic of the miracles that the singular year (sinet) is used 7 times whereas the plural year (sinin) is used 12 times in the Quran. And all the derivatives of the word “year” are used 19 times which points out a Meton era.
| The word | The number it is used in the Quran |
| Year | 19 |
| In how many years a meton era occur? | 19 |
As seen above, the world comes to the same line with the sun and the moon in every 19 years. In the Quran, the words “sun” and “moon” are frequently used in the same verses. How many times? Exactly 19 times. Just the same number which forms a “Meton era” and just the same number the word “year” is used in the Quran. And it is also surprising that on the 19th time, these two words are used together, we come face to face with the following verse:
And the sun and the moon are conjoined.
75. The Resurrection, 9
It is really wonderful to see the meaning and mathematical miracle to come together like this. Now lets look at the table where the words “sun” and “moon” are used together (In 41st surah, verse 37 these words are used twice).
| Repetitions(times) | Surahs | Verses |
| 1 | 6 | 96 |
| 2 | 7 | 54 |
| 3 | 10 | 5 |
| 4 | 12 | 4 |
| 5 | 13 | 2 |
| 6 | 14 | 33 |
| 7 | 16 | 12 |
| 8 | 21 | 33 |
| 9 | 22 | 18 |
| 10 | 29 | 61 |
| 11 | 31 | 29 |
| 12 | 35 | 13 |
| 13 | 36 | 40 |
| 14 | 39 | 5 |
| 15 | 41 | 37 |
| 16 | 41 | 37 |
| 17 | 55 | 5 |
| 18 | 71 | 16 |
| 19 | 75 | 9 |
If you add up the numbers of the surahs and the verses these words are used: 6 + 96 + 7 + 54 + 10 + 5 + 12 + 4 + 13 + 2 + 14 + 33 + 16 + 12 + 21 + 33 + 22 + 18 + 29 + 61 + 31 + 29 + 35 + 13 + 36 + 40 + 39 + 5 + 41 + 37 + 41 + 37 + 55 + 5 + 71 + 16 + 75 + 9 = 1083 (19x57) and 57=19*3.
Please keep in mind this harmony formed with the multiples of 19 and remember it in the following chapters on the miracle 19.
The MMWH in the Quran shows itself both in the surah and verse numbers. This proves that the Quran’s miraculous arrangement covers even the numbers of the surahs and the verses.
5 - That Day and The Resurrection Day
We saw earlier that the word “day” in the Quran, with its singular, plural and derivative usages, forms a miracle. Apart from this, the noun phrases of the same word also produces mathematical miracles. For example, we see this miracle in the phrases “that day” which is used for the end of the world (yewme izin) and the “the day of resurrection day” (yewmül qiyameh). Both phrases are used equally; 70 times. Here are two example verses for these words:
8- Many faces will be joyous on that day.
88 – The Overpowering, 8
67- …the whole earth is within His fist on the day of resurrection.
39 – The Small Groups, 67
| The word | The number it is used in the Quran |
| That day | 70 |
