| VR TRAINING On the main menu in MGS, one of the options is "VR Training". This page will tell you more about the VR Training and its purposes. AN INTRODUCTION TO THE VR TRAINING ... The VR Training mode in MGS which can be selected from the main menu is designed to help you learn the necessary skills you need to complete your mission in the main game. The VR Training starts with the "Training Mode". In this mode, you have to complete the ten levels by using your skills such as crawling, tapping on walls, avoiding detection, not being heard and not leaving evidence of your presence. YOU MUST NOT BE SEEN. Next comes "Time Attack Mode". Here, you have to go through the same ten levels, but this time you'll have to complete each level within a set time. If you are seen or run out of time, the mission is a failure. After that comes "Gun Shooting Mode". It's the same ten levels, but there are more guards in your way and you are timed. This time you have a Socom pistol and the goal will only appear after you have killed all your enemies. If you are spotted or run out of time, the mission is a failure. If you run out of bullets, you either have to kill everyone by strangling them or abandon the mission. When you've completed that, you can try "Survival Mode". Here, you have a Socom pistol and you have eight minutes to complete all ten levels. You have to kill everyone and pick up ammo along the way. Finally, there's the "Technical Demonstration". This goes over all the levels in Gun Shooting Mode. It is a demonstration for you to observe and see a good way of completing the mode. Good luck! Basic stuff- When a description of the level comes up, it'll be over where the finish is. After reading the information, Snake will appear at the start. You have to guide Snake from the start to the finish without being spotted. If you're playing in Gun Shooting Mode or Survival Mode, you'll have to kill everyone before the goal appears. The controls are the same as in the game. To reach the finish, you may have to crawl, run, tap on walls, punch, shoot etc. Do whatever's necessary to reach the goal which is like a tall prism slightly above the ground. GOOD LUCK! To complete the VR Training in one piece you will need to learn the following skills:- Running Tapping on walls Crawling Shooting Shooting whilst running Locking on Pressing against walls Avoiding cameras and searchlights Throwing Punching and kicking Crouching Not making a noise/leaving footprints GOOD LUCK WITH THE VR TRAINING! |
