The 1.10 patch modifications

Here are the changes brought by the 1.10 patch: 1 - After the first game the stats of your char will be put up to a maximum of 1023.
2 - The skills will be blocked up to a maximum of 99, so no need to try to put them higher...
3 - The skill add +31 will become +7.
4 - You may have +95 to all your stats on one item, and on one line just by putting:
+95 to Strengh
+95 to dexterity
+95 to vitality
+95 to energy
The bases of the new 1.10 patch give a greater place to the stats through the items but it will, of course, be limited too... In LOD use ALL the available socketst to put gems and all the avalaible places in the inventory to put charms. But even then, forget your old cheated chars...
So you have 9 items + 21 legit sockets (plus eventually the non-tested oversocketings)+ 40 in the inventory. So you have 70 possibilities. Now all we need to know is if the patch will accept so many addings ... that's yet to be verified...
If you had the good idea to keep your .mpq of the 1.09 and all your 1.09 chars you can still use jamella and Shadowmaster by selecting these files in those programs. This is what I do. If you are on network, keep Diablo II 1.09, or reinstall and patch it in 1.09 and above all don't go on battlenet with that game. Cheat your chars with Jamella, Itemcreator or Shadow in 1.09, then paste it in the DII/Save of the 1.10 and open the char, the char will change itself to the 1.10 version. We've put two 1.09 chars on the site, an ama and a barbarian partly cheated, copy/paste them to use.
You've decided to carry on playing with your 1.09 chars keeping their cheated stats on the 1.10 ? It's possible, you may even carry on using your high levels. Very easy, as your chars are modified by the 1.10 at the first saving, make the saving impossible ... How ??? Go to your Diablo II/Save file, choose one 1.09 char which hasn't yet been used on the 1.10. Right click on it and put your char on read only. That's it your char cannot be modified after the first game , he will keep it's 1.09 characteristics. But watch out the real stats of the 1.10 are base on a different level from the 1.09, for example your attack rating will be higher, so look out for the chars cheated to the maximum, they must be lowered of about 17.5 millions for the attack rating so that they can have 21.5 millions max. Look for the ideal Dex. The Hyper Dex doesn't work with the 1.10, so if your char had 1.074.000.000 for Dex this won't work anymore because your attack will become negative. On the other hand the Hyper speed (-20 on 9 items) still works...
